The Henry Golden Boy Deluxe Engraved 3rd Edition .17 HMR lever action rifle transforms a modern sporting tool into a collector's heirloom. This limited-edition rifle honors a tradition dating back to the 19th century, when master engravers elevated firearms to works of art—most famously the custom Henry presented to President Abraham Lincoln, now displayed in the Smithsonian. Today's Golden Boy Deluxe 3rd Edition continues that legacy with hand-engraved scrollwork inspired by acclaimed engraver Louis D. Nimschke, etched directly into the classic Golden Boy receiver.

Built around the efficient .17 HMR cartridge in an 11-round lever action platform, this rifle combines practical accuracy with undeniable presence. The American walnut stock and forearm showcase rich grain that complements the intricate engraving, while the brass-finished receiver and semi-buckhorn beaded sights reinforce the rifle's timeless character. At 6.75 pounds and 38.5 inches overall with a 20-inch barrel, it's proportioned for both handling and display. Each firearm bears a special serial number from 1 to 1000, making it a numbered limited edition.

Whether you're a serious collector, a shooter who values craftsmanship, or someone seeking an unforgettable gift for a fellow enthusiast, the Golden Boy Deluxe 3rd Edition delivers museum-quality aesthetics without sacrificing functional performance. It's the kind of rifle that earns a place of honor in your gun safe and deserves to be passed down as a family treasure.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Golden Boy Deluxe Engraved different from a standard Henry Golden Boy?

The Deluxe 3rd Edition features hand-engraved receiver work inspired by 19th-century master engraver Louis D. Nimschke, transforming the rifle into a museum-quality heirloom. Each rifle carries a special serial number from 1 to 1000, making it a numbered limited edition rather than a production firearm.

Is the .17 HMR caliber suitable for hunting?

The .17 HMR is a centerfire rimfire cartridge commonly used for small game and varmint hunting. It's also popular for precision shooting at the range. Suitability depends on your specific hunting goals—we recommend consulting local regulations and speaking with our team about your intended use.

What is included with this rifle?

The facts provided cover the rifle itself. For information about any included accessories, documentation, or additional items, please contact us directly.

Would this rifle work as a display piece?

Absolutely. The combination of American walnut stock, brass-finished receiver, and intricate engraving makes this rifle as much a collector's piece as a functional firearm. Many owners display it as a heirloom—which aligns with Henry's tradition of gifting ornate rifles to honored recipients.
