The Henry Big Boy Steel lever-action rifle in .357 Magnum/.38 Special is a modern take on a classic American design—built for shooters who want practical accuracy and reliable performance whether you're working game at moderate range or making steel ring at the range. Chambered in the versatile .357 Mag/.38 Special, this 20-inch rifle gives you options: heavier .357 loads for deer-sized game or faster follow-ups with .38 Special rounds without changing guns. The blued steel receiver and round barrel strike that balance between rugged functionality and the timeless look that makes lever guns instantly recognizable on any truck rack or in a blind.

With 10 rounds on tap and a side-gate loading design, you get practical capacity without sacrificing the compact footprint that makes lever-actions so appealing to hunters working tight country. The transfer bar safety keeps the rifle secure until you need it. Sights come set up to go: a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with diamond insert and a brass bead front—a combo that's proven in the field and lets you mount glass if that's your preference (the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope rings). At 7 pounds and 37.5 inches overall, this is a rifle you'll actually carry, not leave behind.

American walnut furniture and a solid rubber recoil pad round out the package. This is honest, straightforward rifle engineering—no marketing theater, just a tool that works whether your next trip is a DIY hunt in Texas hill country, a controlled ranch day, or a trip to validate your load development.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I shoot .38 Special in a .357 Magnum rifle?

Yes. The Henry Big Boy Steel is chambered for both cartridges, so you can use .38 Special rounds without any modification. This flexibility is one of the big advantages of the .357 platform—lighter recoil and often lower cost ammunition when you want to practice or hunt smaller game.

Is this rifle ready to mount a scope?

Yes. The receiver is drilled and tapped and comes with mount points (BB-RSM type) so you can add optics if you prefer them over the included iron sights. The iron sights are fully functional out of the box.

What's the length of pull, and will it fit me?

The length of pull is 14 inches, which is standard for most adult rifle users. At 37.5 inches overall and 7 pounds, the rifle is compact and maneuverable—a genuine advantage if you're hunting from a vehicle, tree stand, or tight blind.

What comes in the box, and what sights does it have?

The rifle ships fully assembled with iron sights: a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with a diamond insert for aiming reference, and a brass bead front sight. Both are regulated and ready to shoot. Swivel studs are included for mounting a sling.
