The 18-inch barrel sports an 11/16 x 24 muzzle brake (included) designed for quick wrench installation without Loctite, and a 1:24 twist rate optimized for .450 Bushmaster ammunition. Modified M4 feed ramps ensure smooth feeding, and the 5-round magazine capacity reflects the cartridge's power and the platform's intended use.
The 15.25-inch aluminum 6061 handguard runs full-length Picatinny rail, giving you plenty of real estate to mount lights, lasers, or accessories. The Great Lakes AR-15 is built on standard 7075 billet receivers and features a Mil-spec trigger, grip, and gas system, so it accepts many mil-spec AR-15 parts. However, because it is chambered in .450 Bushmaster—not .223 Remington or 5.56 NATO—you should verify that any ammunition, magazines, or components are compatible with the .450 Bushmaster cartridge.
