The Great Lakes Firearms AR-15 .450 Bushmaster is a purpose-built rifle for hunters and shooters who want serious stopping power in a modern, versatile platform. Chambered in .450 Bushmaster—a cartridge renowned for short-to-medium-range hunting and barrier-blind performance—this 18-inch rifle delivers the leverage of a straight-walled cartridge in a configuration that handles like a traditional AR, making it an excellent choice for hunters transitioning from .223 or those simply after a hard-hitting, manageable package.

Built on a 7075 aluminum frame and oversized upper receiver, the rifle balances weight and durability. The 18-inch barrel sports a 1:24 twist and comes threaded 11/16 x 24 with a muzzle brake already installed—no wrench-on-with-Loctite hassles. You get your choice of barrel material (416R stainless steel or 4150 CRMOV with nitride finish), a mid-length gas system anchored by a .750 gas block, and a full Picatinny rail on the 15.25-inch aluminum handguard for mounting optics, lights, or accessories. The rifle ships in ODG (Olive Drab Green) Cerakote, adding a rugged aesthetic to a practical tool.

At 6.4 pounds and 35 inches overall, it's maneuverable in brush and trucks without feeling like a toy. The trigger breaks at a mil-spec 5.5–6 lb pull, suitable for hunting and field work. Modified M4 feed ramps ensure reliable feeding, and the aluminum Mil-spec grip is ergonomic and proven. You'll receive one 5-round magazine to start—appropriate for most hunting regulations and the cartridge's ballistics. No irons are included; plan for an optic or add your own sights.

This is a no-frills, well-engineered .450 Bushmaster that respects the cartridge's strength and the AR platform's modularity, ideal for serious hunters who understand the round's real-world capabilities and limitations.
