The Great Lakes Firearms AR-10 in .270 Winchester brings serious long-range capability to the modern rifle platform. This .270 AR10 combines the ergonomics and modularity you expect from an AR-platform rifle with a cartridge built for distance and power, making it a compelling choice for hunters and shooters who want flat-shooting performance without stepping away from a familiar manual-of-arms.

Built on a billet aluminum lower and upper receiver, this rifle centers around a 24-inch stainless steel barrel with 5R rifling and a 1:10 twist, engineered to deliver the velocity and accuracy .270 Winchester is known for. The rifle-length gas system and custom bolt carrier group are tuned for the cartridge, while a 5/8 x 24 muzzle brake helps manage recoil. You get a 20-inch M-Lok handguard with integrated Picatinny rail for mounting optics and accessories, a Hogue fixed stock for a solid cheek weld, and a standard mil-spec grip. The trigger breaks at 5.5–6 pounds, typical of mil-spec designs. A GLFA custom aluminum magazine feeds 5 rounds.

At 9.25 pounds and 45.50 inches overall, the GL10LA270SSBLK balances shootability with portability—light enough to carry on a hunt, but substantial enough to manage the recoil of a magnum-class cartridge. This is an AR-10 for shooters who want to move beyond 5.56 or 7.62x51 and aren't willing to sacrifice the platform's ergonomics to do it.
