Great Lakes Firearms AR-10 .270 Win Sniper Rifle - Gray/Stainless Steel
Great Lakes Firearms
The Great Lakes Firearms AR-10 .270 Win is a long-action rifle built on the proven AR platform—but engineered for serious distance shooting and hunting applications where .270 Winchester's ballistics shine. If you're looking for an AR-10 in a caliber that handles wind drift better than smaller cartridges and delivers real knockdown energy at extended range, this stainless and bronze build offers the accuracy and durability you need without the bloat of a standard AR-10 platform.
This rifle centers on a 24-inch stainless steel barrel (416R) with 5R rifling and a 1:10 twist rate, a profile that favors the ballistics and velocity .270 Win demands. The matched upper and lower receivers are billet aluminum, with the lower machined from 7075-T6 for rigidity and longevity. A 20-inch M-Lok rail on the upper gives you clean, forward-mounted real estate for optics and accessories, and the rifle-length gas system keeps cycling smooth and reliable across hunting and range use.
Practical features include a muzzle brake (5/8 x 24 stainless steel) to manage recoil and muzzle rise, a Hogue fixed stock for solid cheekweld and consistency, and a mil-spec trigger with a 5.5–6 lb pull that's familiar to anyone who shoots standard AR platforms. The rifle ships with a custom 5-round aluminum magazine, and it accepts standard AR-10 lower parts kits and triggers if you want to tailor it further. At 9.25 pounds with a 45.5-inch overall length, it balances portability with the barrel length needed to extract .270 Win's potential.
Built for hunters and long-range shooters who want AR ergonomics and modularity in a caliber proven for elk, deer, and distance: this is a no-nonsense rifle that rewards precision and planning.
