The Great Lakes Firearms AR-10 .270 Win tactical rifle brings long-range power to the modern sporting rifle platform. Built on a proprietary long-action design that maintains the familiar AR-10 footprint, this rifle chambers the hard-hitting .270 Winchester—a caliber proven on everything from whitetail to elk and everything in between. If you're hunting medium to large game at distance or want a serious precision rifle that handles like an AR, this is a shooter worth considering.

The build quality reflects real thought: a 24-inch 416R stainless steel barrel with 5R rifling and a 1:10 twist stabilize heavy .270 projectiles and deliver consistent accuracy. The 7075 aluminum billet lower and upper are matched with a 20-inch M-Lok handguard that gives you plenty of rail real estate for optics, lights, or other accessories. A stainless steel muzzle brake (5/8 x 24) helps manage recoil—welcome on a full-power cartridge. The rifle-length gas system is tuned to the cartridge for reliable cycling, while a custom bolt carrier group and charging handle are purpose-built for the platform.

Controls are straightforward: a mil-spec trigger with a 5.5–6 lb pull, standard mil-spec grip, and a fixed Hogue stock that keeps things simple and dependable. The included 5-round custom aluminum magazine is sized for the long-action cartridge. At 9.25 pounds and 45.50 inches overall, it balances shootability with the heft needed to manage .270 recoil and group tight at distance. Whether you're a hunter who wants AR ergonomics in a serious cartridge or a range shooter after a modern long-action platform, the Great Lakes Firearms AR-10 in .270 Win delivers no-nonsense performance.
