The Great Lakes Firearms AR-10 in .308 Win is a mid-range rifle built on precision fundamentals—7075 billet receivers, 4150 CRMOV nitride barrel, and a thoughtful feature set that appeals to hunters, long-range shooters, and serious marksmen who want accuracy without the price tag of custom builds. The 18-inch barrel strikes a practical balance between velocity and maneuverability, while the 5R rifling and 1:10 twist rate are engineered for stability and consistent performance across .308 Winchester ammunition. Dressed in Olive Drab Green Cerakote, this rifle wears a finish that's as durable as it is timeless—no flash, just proven material science. Whether you're zeroing in at the range or heading afield, the AR-10 platform offers modularity and ergonomics that work.

The 15.125-inch M-LOK rail gives you genuine real estate for mounting optics, lights, or accessories without unnecessary length. This isn't a race-gun aesthetic; it's a working gun. The billet upper and lower receivers provide superior rigidity compared to forged alternatives, and the nitride barrel finish resists corrosion and wear—important if you're running this rifle hard or storing it in variable conditions. One 10-round magazine comes in the box, keeping you compliant in states with capacity restrictions while offering clean, reliable feeding.

Great Lakes Firearms rifles are known for holding their own against boutique builders at a fraction of the cost. This .308 AR-10 is no exception. The receiver quality, barrel treatment, and rail design signal attention to fundamentals rather than marketing hype. If you've been considering a .308 AR platform for hunting, precision rifle, or tactical training, this one delivers the bones you need to build something reliable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this AR-10 compatible with standard .308 magazines?

The Great Lakes Firearms AR-10 uses AR-10 pattern magazines. The rifle ships with one 10-round magazine. Magazine compatibility and capacity depend on your state and local laws; we always recommend verifying local regulations before purchase.

What's the difference between the billet receivers and a forged AR-10?

Billet receivers are machined from solid aluminum stock, offering tighter tolerances and superior rigidity compared to forged receivers. This translates to better accuracy potential and tighter groups—a meaningful advantage if precision is your priority.

Can I mount a scope or red dot on the M-LOK rail?

The 15.125-inch M-LOK rail provides mounting points for optics via compatible picatinny rail sections or M-LOK adapters. You'll need to add a rail-mounted optic base or platform separately; no optic is included.

What's the practical range of an 18-inch .308 AR-10?

An 18-inch .308 is effective for hunting and target shooting out to 500+ yards with proper optics, ammunition selection, and shooter skill. The specific ballistic performance depends on your load and bullet choice.
