The Great Lakes Firearms .223 Wylde 16" black rifle is a modern AR-15 platform carbine built for shooters who want versatility without compromise. The .223 Wylde chamber accepts both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition, giving you real flexibility at the range or in the field. At just 6.8 pounds with a 16-inch heavy barrel, this rifle balances accuracy and handling—ideal for tactical training, competition, or home defense.

Built on a 7075 aluminum upper and lower, this Great Lakes rifle prioritizes durability and a clean aesthetic with Cerakote finish throughout. The 15.25-inch aluminum handguard runs full picatinny rail, so mounting optics, lights, and accessories is straightforward. Carbine-length gas system and M4 feed ramps keep cycling reliable across both .223 and 5.56 ammo variants. Milspec controls and a standard 5.5–6 pound trigger feel familiar to anyone trained on service rifles.

You get one 30-round magazine and a muzzle brake designed to install wrench-tight without threadlocker. The rifle ships with no sights, leaving your picatinny rail free for your choice of optic—a smart move if you already have a favorite scope or red dot. At 33.25 inches overall length, it's compact enough for vehicle carry or close-quarters work while retaining the sight radius and ergonomics of a proper rifle.
