Diamondback DB15 5.56 NATO Rifle, 16" Barrel, 30-Round, M-LOK, FDE Finish
Diamondback
The Diamondback DB15 5.56 NATO rifle is a mid-length gas system AR-15 built to run reliably right out of the box without breaking the budget. With a 16-inch barrel, M-LOK handguard, and a full suite of battle-tested components, this is a no-nonsense platform for range work, hunting, or home defense. The 30-round capacity and forged aluminum upper and lower receivers give you a solid foundation that's easy to customize as your needs evolve.
What sets the DB15 apart is attention to detail in the small stuff. The barrel is 4150 CrMov steel with black nitride finish and a 1:8 right-hand twist optimized for a wide range of 5.56 loads. The bolt carrier group is shot-peened and magnetic particle inspected to mil-spec standards—the kind of quality control that matters when reliability counts. You get ambidextrous controls throughout: Battle Arms Development safety selector, charging handle, and magazine catch keep the rifle equally friendly for lefties and righties.
The handguard is a 15-inch M-LOK rail with integrated Picatinny sections and QD mounts for lights or slings. The stock is a MagPul CTR with a cheek riser, the grip is MagPul MOE K2, and the muzzle brake is Diamondback's Obsidian design threaded for suppressors (1/2 x 28). No iron sights are included, so you'll mount an optic or cowitness setup to your A3 flattop upper. At 6.6 pounds unloaded and 33 inches collapsed, it's handy without being short-stroked.
This is the kind of rifle that rewards proper maintenance and delivers solid groups at the range, clean takedowns in the field, and honest performance without the premium price tag. It's a dependable baseline AR that works.

Yes. The 5.56 NATO is suitable for medium game and small game hunting depending on your state's regulations. The 16-inch barrel and mid-length gas system strike a balance between velocity and handling, and the M-LOK handguard makes mounting lights or rangefinders straightforward. You'll need to add an optic since none is included.
The Diamondback Obsidian muzzle brake is threaded 1/2 x 28, which is the standard 5.56 suppressor thread pitch, so yes—if you have the proper tax stamp and local approval, you can install a suppressor.
The A3 flattop upper receiver uses a standard Picatinny rail. Any optic with a Picatinny mount will work. You can use a riser for cowitness with backup iron sights, or mount directly for a higher sight picture with a red dot or magnified scope.
The ambidextrous controls—safety selector, charging handle, and magazine catch—make it equally functional for left and right-handed shooters. However, the ejection port will still eject brass to the right side of the rifle.
The DB15 ships with one MagPul Gen M3 PMAG 30-round magazine. No optic, sights, or additional accessories are included. You will need to add an optic to the Picatinny rail on the upper receiver to be ready to shoot.
