The Daniel Defense Delta 5 Pro in 6.5 Creedmoor is a precision bolt-action rifle purpose-built for long-range hunting and precision rifle competition. This 24-inch OD Green model pairs a cold hammer-forged barrel with a mechanically bedded stainless steel action to deliver the accuracy serious shooters demand—and Daniel Defense backs it with a guarantee: 0.5 MOA or better at 100 yards when paired with quality match-grade ammunition. It's not marketing speak; it's a promise supported by real testing and real data.

The Delta 5 Pro's modular design lets you swap barrels or change calibers using the proprietary barrel nut, giving you flexibility without guesswork. The three-lug bolt with a 60-degree throw cycles smoothly, while the adjustable Timney Elite Hunter trigger and two-position safety give you fine control over your shot. An Area 419 Hellfire muzzle brake tames recoil and muzzle rise, especially important when you're pushing a 6.5 Creedmoor downrange. The 20 MOA Picatinny scope base is pre-installed and ready for your optic of choice.

The chassis is packed with modern features that make this rifle equally at home on a precision range or in the field. Ten M-LOK QD sling points let you configure the rifle to your preference, while integral ARCA rails (RRS spec) run the length of the lower for accessory mounting. An adjustable buttstock and cheek riser dial in your natural position without tools, and the scalloped cut near the scope bridge keeps overall height manageable even with large-objective glass. The included Magpul PMAG 10-round magazine feeds smoothly into the AICS-pattern magazine well. At 11.4 pounds, it's substantial enough to settle into bags easily, yet nimble enough for realistic shooting positions.

Comes complete with a Daniel Defense hard case for safe transport and storage.

Frequently Asked Questions

What optics will fit the Daniel Defense Delta 5 Pro scope base?

The rifle comes with a 20 MOA Picatinny scope base pre-installed. Any optic with standard Picatinny/Weaver rings will fit. The 20 MOA base adds elevation for long-range holds. The scalloped cut in the chassis allows for lower mounting height, so you can use scopes with large objective lenses without raising your cheek position excessively.

Can I swap barrels or change calibers on this rifle?

Yes. The Delta 5 Pro uses a proprietary barrel nut system that allows you to change barrels and calibers with relative ease. However, you'll need Daniel Defense barrels and the proper tools for the proprietary nut. This isn't a field-swappable system like some AR-15 platforms, but it does give you genuine versatility for a bolt-action rifle.

What ammunition should I use to meet the 0.5 MOA accuracy guarantee?

Daniel Defense guarantees 0.5 MOA or better at 100 yards when used with quality factory match-grade ammunition. While the rifle will likely perform well with standard loads, match-grade ammo (like quality brass and precision bullets) is recommended to maximize accuracy potential and to meet the terms of the accuracy guarantee.

Is this rifle suitable for hunting, or is it a range-only gun?

The Delta 5 Pro is equally capable in both roles. The 6.5 Creedmoor is a proven hunting cartridge with excellent ballistics, and the rifle's ergonomics—adjustable stock, cheek riser, and M-LOK accessory mounting—make it practical in the field. At the same time, the precision accuracy guarantee and modular design make it a serious precision rifle platform for competition and long-range shooting.
