The Daniel Defense DD5 V4 6.5 Creedmoor semi-auto AR-10 rifle is built for shooters who demand precision at distance without sacrificing reliability or shootability. If you're serious about long-range hunting or precision rifle competition, the 6.5 Creedmoor chambering offers ballistic advantages that let you stretch effective range well past 1000 meters—flatter trajectories and less wind drift than heavier-recoiling alternatives, in a platform that's practical to shoot all day. This is Daniel Defense's refined AR-10, and it shows in every detail.

The DD5 V4's adjustable gas block is the real workhorse here. Whether you're running suppressed or wide open, you dial it in once and get a consistent, smooth shooting experience. The superfinished, DLC-coated bolt carrier group cycles reliably in any condition and strips down fast for a quick clean. The carrier itself includes an integral buffer that tames recoil impulse, so follow-up shots stay on target. Up front, you get an 18-inch cold hammer-forged barrel in Daniel Defense's proprietary steel—chrome-lined for longevity—paired with their Superior Suppression Device muzzle brake. The 1:8 twist is optimized for 6.5 Creedmoor velocities and bullet weights.

Handling is purposeful and tactical. The GRIP-N-RIP charging handle is fully ambidextrous with anti-gas features, and the DD5's 4-bolt connection system locks the upper to the lower with precision that translates to accuracy downrange. The free-floating M-LOK rail gives you clean mounting for optics, lights, and other gear without interference. At 8.6 pounds unloaded, it's light enough for a long day in the field or on the range, yet stiff enough to be genuinely accurate. The DD5 V4 accepts all SR-25 magazines, so you've got plenty of feeding options.

This is a rifle for shooters who know what they want and aren't interested in compromise. If you've been running an AR-15 and thinking about stepping up to intermediate-caliber distance shooting, the DD5 V4 in 6.5 Creedmoor is exactly what that sentence describes.
