The CZ-USA Drake Southpaw 20ga over-under shotgun is a left-handed shooter's answer to finding a quality, affordable shotgun that doesn't compromise on features or build quality. With a 28-inch barrel and 3-inch chamber, the Drake handles everything from upland game to clay targets, and the southpaw configuration means you get the ergonomics designed from the ground up for your shooting hand—not a retrofit afterthought. CZ's reputation for solid action design carries through here: the Drake uses a CNCed action and internals proven across their shotgun lineup, wrapped in a gloss black chrome receiver and barrel that'll hold up to field use and wet weather.

At 6.5 pounds, the Drake balances quick handling with enough mass to manage recoil comfortably. The single selectable trigger gives you the flexibility to choose which barrel fires first, and the extractor operation keeps things straightforward and reliable. You're getting five interchangeable FIMMICC chokes in the box, so you can dial in your pattern for whatever birds or targets you're after. The Turkish walnut stock with pistol grip and snag-free forend are finished with laser-cut checkering for grip security, and the 8mm flat ventilated rib helps you track targets smoothly across the sight plane.

If you've been holding out for a left-handed over-under that doesn't feel like a compromise or cost a small fortune, the Drake delivers on both counts. This is a shotgun built to shoot, not just to sit in a safe—CZ engineered it to work hard and keep working, whether you're in the field at dawn or running sporting clays on the weekend.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this shotgun really set up for left-handed shooters?

Yes—the Drake Southpaw is built for southpaws from the action up. The safety, trigger guard, forend, and ejection path are all configured for left-hand operation. You're not adapting a right-handed gun; you're getting a shotgun designed with your hand in mind.

What chokes come with the Drake, and can I use aftermarket chokes?

The Drake ships with five FIMMICC chokes. If you want to swap in different chokes, you'll need to confirm compatibility with FIMMICC-threaded barrels, but the included set covers most hunting and clay shooting scenarios.

How does the single selectable trigger work?

The single selectable trigger lets you choose which barrel (top or bottom) fires when you pull the trigger the first time. This gives you flexibility in shot selection—useful when you want to pick your choke sequence based on distance or target type.

What's the difference between an extractor and ejector?

An extractor simply pulls the fired shell out of the chamber; you remove it by hand. An ejector ejects the shell automatically. The Drake uses extractor operation, which is simple, reliable, and a common setup on affordable over-unders.
