The CZ 457 Varmint Precision Chassis MTR 2 in .22LR is a semi-custom rifle built for shooters who demand accuracy and modularity in a lightweight varmint platform. CZ USA's 457 action has earned a solid reputation for precision and reliability, and this chassis-equipped variant takes that foundation into modern sporting rifle territory. With a 16.5" barrel, it's compact enough for field work without sacrificing velocity or sight radius, making it a practical choice for varmint control, rimfire competition, or precision .22LR shooting where you want real adjustability and customization potential.
The integrated precision chassis gives you a solid, repeatable platform for mounting optics and accessories. Unlike traditional wood or basic synthetic stocks, a chassis system lets you dial in ergonomics—cheek rest height, grip angle, and rail positions—to match your shooting style and body geometry. If you're already running modern tactical gear or plan to experiment with different optics, mag wells, and handguard configurations, this rifle gives you the flexibility to evolve your setup without buying a new gun.
At this barrel length and caliber, you're looking at a rifle that handles well in tight spaces and transitions smoothly between bench and field use. The .22LR round is economical, gentle on the ears, and ideal for learning precision fundamentals or extending your shooting sessions on a reasonable budget. Whether you're setting up a dedicated varmint rig, building a competition .22, or just want a tack-driving rimfire that grows with your skill level, the CZ 457 Varmint Precision Chassis MTR 2 delivers the accuracy and modularity to make it happen.
