The Colt King Cobra Carry DAO is a modern .357 Magnum revolver built for shooters who need serious stopping power in a package that actually fits a waistband. This 2-inch .357 revolver splits the difference between a full-size duty gun and a pocket snubby—powerful enough for hunting or home defense, compact enough for everyday carry. The double-action-only (DAO) design with a bobbed hammer means a cleaner draw and no accidental cocking, which matters when seconds count. Whether you're a revolver purist who trusts six good rounds over a magazine, or you want a backup gun that handles premium .357 Magnum loads with authority, the King Cobra Carry delivers proven Colt reliability in brushed stainless steel that handles the field without looking precious about it.
The gun is built on a heavy-duty frame and fully stainless steel construction—no plastic, no cutting corners. The Hogue Overmolded grips lock in your hand even when you're wet or wearing gloves, and the brass bead front sight is easy to pick up in low light. At 26 ounces, it carries without printing but has enough mass to manage recoil when you're sending .357 Magnum rounds downrange. The 2-inch barrel is short enough to clear a waistband holster cleanly and long enough to burn most of the powder in your ammunition.
This is the kind of gun that works the same way every time, requires no batteries, and handles any standard .357 Magnum or .38 Special ammunition your local shop has in stock. No rail, no lasers, no BS—just a six-shot revolver that does one job and does it well.

Frequently Asked Questions
What .357 Magnum revolver should I buy for concealed carry?
The King Cobra Carry combines the stopping power of .357 Magnum in a 2-inch package designed specifically for IWB or pocket carry. At 26 ounces, it's light enough to disappear in a proper holster but substantial enough to shoot without feeling snappy. The DAO trigger and bobbed hammer eliminate the risk of snagging on a draw or unintentionally cocking during movement.
Will this revolver also shoot .38 Special?
Yes. The King Cobra Carry is chambered in .357 Magnum, which means it safely handles both full-power .357 Magnum loads and lighter .38 Special ammunition. This flexibility lets you choose your load based on your practice budget or self-defense preference.
Is the King Cobra Carry stainless steel corrosion-resistant?
The frame and barrel are both stainless steel with a brushed matte finish, which resists rust and corrosion better than blued or parkerized finishes. Proper maintenance and periodic cleaning will keep it looking good and functioning reliably for years.
What grips come on the King Cobra Carry?
The gun ships with Hogue Overmolded grips, which provide a secure, non-slip hold even in wet conditions or with gloves. These are proven in the field and paired specifically to this revolver's frame.
