The Colt Gold Cup National Match .38 Super 1911 pistol represents the gold standard for competitive shooters and serious handgunners who demand precision and reliability in a classic platform. This single-action 1911 carries the legacy of Colt's most celebrated match-grade offering, built around the Series 70 firing system and engineered for shooters who understand that accuracy starts with the gun. The .38 Super chambering delivers flatter ballistics and higher velocity than standard 9mm, making it a favored round for those pushing performance at the range or in competition.
What sets the Gold Cup apart is its obsessive attention to trigger control and repeatability. The wide adjustable aluminum trigger breaks cleanly and consistently, letting you focus on sight picture and target. The front dovetail post and adjustable Bomar-style rear sight give you a fighting chance at precision work whether you're dialing in at 25 yards or stretching distance at the range. Checkered wood grips provide authentic period aesthetics and a secure purchase in either hand, while the deep blue steel finish and 5-inch barrel deliver the classic 1911 look you expect from a National Match pistol.
At 8.5 inches overall with a 9+1 capacity, this is a full-size 1911 built for serious shooters who won't compromise on ergonomics, trigger feel, or heritage. Standard grip and thumb safeties keep you in control, and the single included magazine gets you started immediately. Whether you're a competitive shooter, a 1911 enthusiast, or someone who simply refuses to settle for less than match-grade performance, the Colt Gold Cup National Match .38 Super is built for your standards.
