The Cimarron Pre War Pistolero .357 Magnum single action revolver brings authentic Old West handling to modern shooters who appreciate classic lines and genuine craftsmanship. Built on a color case hardened frame with a 4.75-inch barrel, this .357 Magnum revolver delivers the balance and pointability that made single actions legendary—whether you're competing in Cowboy Action Shooting, hunting medium game, or just enjoying traditional wheelgun shooting at the range. The Pistolero's proven design traces back to the firearms that won the West, scaled and refined for shooters who demand reliability without compromise.

Cimarron Firearms specializes in historically accurate reproductions and pre-war style revolvers, and the Pistolero exemplifies that dedication. The color case hardened frame provides visual character and durability, while the standard blue finish on the barrel and cylinder offers straightforward protection and a classic appearance. Walnut smooth grips fit the hand naturally and won't snag on clothing or leather during the draw, making the gun equally at home in a modern holster or a traditional strongside carry.

At 2.5 pounds, the Pistolero points intuitively and tires your hand less during extended shooting sessions than heavier magnums, yet the .357 Magnum chambering delivers more than enough power for hunting whitetail and hogs or running full-power loads in competition. The 4.75-inch barrel offers a sweet spot between sight radius, velocity, and portability—long enough to stabilize your aim but short enough to feel balanced in the hand.

Frequently Asked Questions

What calibers does the Cimarron Pistolero shoot?

The Pistolero is chambered in .357 Magnum and will also safely fire .38 Special ammunition, giving you flexibility to load full-power magnums for hunting or lighter .38 Special rounds for target shooting and practice.

Is this revolver suitable for Cowboy Action Shooting?

Yes. The Cimarron Pre War Pistolero is designed as a single action revolver in the classic style favored by Cowboy Action Shooting competitors and traditional Western shooting sports.

What's the grip material and will it work with modern holsters?

The grips are walnut with a smooth finish that's comfortable to hold and won't catch on clothing. The standard single action frame and barrel length are compatible with modern purpose-made holsters, though you may want to verify fit with your preferred holster manufacturer.

How much does it weigh and is it easy to carry all day?

The Pistolero weighs 2.5 pounds, making it relatively light for a .357 Magnum revolver and manageable for extended carry or a full day of shooting without excessive fatigue.
