The Cimarron Firearms 1872 Open Top Army Grip .45 LC 7.5" revolver is a faithful reproduction of the legendary single-action sixguns that won the American West. Built around the larger Army-grip profile, this nickel-finished revolver chambers the powerful .45 Colt cartridge and delivers the authentic look, feel, and handling of the originals—ideal for Cowboy Action Shooting, historical reenactment, or anyone serious about traditional sixgun shooting.

Cimarron's commitment to accuracy shows in every detail. The frame is steel throughout, nickel finished for that period-correct appearance and a practical polish that resists weathering. The 7.5-inch round barrel gives you sight radius and velocity without the bulk of longer barrels, and the fixed front sight is set up for instinctive aiming at typical revolver distances. Smooth walnut grips in the Army size offer a secure, comfortable purchase—notably larger than Navy-grip alternatives—making this model a natural fit if you prefer the heft and control of a full-sized grip.

At 36.6 ounces, it balances speed and substance on the belt or in a strong hand. The single-action trigger is clean and predictable, and the six-round cylinder capacity is standard for the type. Whether you're loading period-correct ammunition or modern .45 Colt rounds, this revolver respects both history and shooter preference. This is a workhorse for the range, the competition, or anyone who refuses to compromise on authenticity.
