The Cimarron 1892 Carbine in .44 Mag is a classic lever-action rifle built for hunters and shooters who appreciate authentic Old West handling paired with modern reliability. This Model AS632 carries the DNA of one of history's most iconic rifle designs—the Winchester 1892—with a 20-inch barrel and 10-round capacity that make it equally at home in the saddle, on a hunting stand, or at the range. Chambered in .44 Remington Magnum, it delivers serious stopping power in a package light enough to carry all day without fatigue.

Cimarron's attention to period-correct details doesn't sacrifice durability. The color case-hardened receiver and steel butt plate are built to handle real use, while the walnut furniture gives you that satisfying traditional aesthetic. At 6.6 pounds and 47.6 inches overall, this carbine won't slow you down—whether you're working livestock, hunting medium game, or simply enjoying the mechanics of a true lever gun. The 1:20 twist rate is optimized for .44 Mag performance, and the open-sight setup—front blade and rear buckhorn—keeps things simple and fast.

If you've ever wanted a rifle that feels like it stepped out of the 1890s but runs like it was made yesterday, the Cimarron 1892 Carbine delivers exactly that. No modern tacticool trappings, no unnecessary complications—just proven lever-action ergonomics, responsive firepower, and a gun that'll still be going strong when your grandkids inherit it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Cimarron 1892 Carbine suitable for hunting?

Yes. The .44 Remington Magnum cartridge, combined with the 20-inch barrel and fast lever-action cycling, makes this carbine well-suited for hunting applications where its range and power are appropriate. Many shooters use similar rifles for medium game and defense purposes.

What's the effective range with the open sights?

The front blade and rear buckhorn sights are designed for close to mid-range shooting, typical of lever-action hunting and sport shooting out to reasonable distances. Exact performance depends on ammunition choice and shooter skill, but these sights prioritize speed and reliability over long-distance precision.

Can I mount a scope on this rifle?

The product information provided does not specify whether this model includes or supports modern sight rails or scope mounts. Contact us directly for questions about aftermarket optics compatibility.

How does the weight compare to other lever-action carbines?

At 6.6 pounds, the Cimarron 1892 Carbine is light and well-balanced for carrying in the field or from horseback. This weight makes it easier to manage during extended hunting or shooting sessions compared to heavier rifle designs.
