The Cimarron 1892 lever action rifle in .45 Long Colt is built for shooters who appreciate classic American guncraft. This 20-inch barrel carbine honors the design that won the West, with a big loop lever that accommodates gloved hands or quick manipulation in the field. Whether you're working ranch country, hunting medium game, or running cowboy action stages, the 1892 platform delivers the reliable, smooth cycling that made it legendary. Cimarron's attention to period-correct details and modern reliability makes this a serious working rifle, not just a wall hanger.
The .45 Long Colt chambering offers moderate recoil, proven accuracy, and a deep catalog of ammunition options—from factory rounds to hand-loaded hunting and target loads. The big loop lever is more than aesthetics; it's functional design that speeds up handling and works equally well from the saddle or standing position. At 20 inches, the barrel strikes a balance between velocity and manageability, making this carbine nimble in brush or timber without sacrificing ballistic performance.
Cimarron 1892s are known for their fit, finish, and attention to authentic design. This model carries the saddle ring tradition—a practical detail for those who actually use their rifles in the field. If you're drawn to lever guns for hunting, sport shooting, or as a reliable ranch companion, the 1892 is the kind of rifle that improves with use and holds its own against anything made in the last century.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the advantage of a big loop lever on a carbine?
A big loop lever gives you faster cycling speed and lets you operate the rifle smoothly with gloves on or from awkward positions—critical if you're working from horseback, in thick brush, or in cold weather. It's functional design with real-world utility.
Is the .45 Long Colt suitable for hunting?
Yes. The .45 Long Colt is an effective medium-game cartridge when loaded properly, and it's been used successfully for hunting for well over a century. Performance depends on load selection and shot placement, like any rifle caliber.
Can this 1892 handle modern ammunition?
The 1892 platform was designed around the .45 Long Colt, and Cimarron builds these rifles to handle factory ammunition. As always, follow the manufacturer's load data and recommendations for safe, reliable operation.
What does the saddle ring do?
The saddle ring is a traditional feature that allows you to secure the rifle to a saddle or carry rig. It's practical for field work and adds to the authentic working rifle aesthetic.
