The Christensen Arms Traverse .375 H&H Magnum bolt-action rifle is built for hunters who refuse to compromise between capability and pack weight. This is a serious medium-to-heavy game rifle that punches well above its weight class — literally. At 7.3 pounds, the Traverse delivers the stopping power of a .375 H&H Magnum in a platform light enough for backcountry expeditions, mountain hunts, and situations where every ounce matters. The rifle pairs a stainless steel 416R Aerograde carbon fiber wrapped barrel with a carbon fiber composite Monte-Carlo gunstock, marrying modern materials with classic rifle lines that feel right in your hands.
This isn't off-the-shelf compromise. The barrel is hand-lapped, button-rifled, and free-floating for consistency shot to shot. A removable stainless steel side-baffle brake tames the .375's formidable recoil, while the match chamber ensures reliable feeding and accuracy. The action itself is where precision lives: TriggerTech trigger, billet aluminum bottom metal with a hinged floor plate, twin-lug spiral-fluted nitride-treated bolt with dual ejectors (tuned for magnum cartridges), and an enlarged ejection port for smooth operation in cold-weather gloves. The 0-MOA optic rail is ready for your glass, and the internal magazine runs 4 rounds in standard calibers or 3 in magnum loads.
The stock is where ergonomics and durability meet. Carbon fiber composite construction with stainless steel pillars and spot bedding keeps things rigid without adding heft. A raised comb, full palm swell, and modified beavertail forearm give you a solid mount for both standing and prone shooting. Four picatinny rail sections on the bottom accept slings, bipods, and other accessories. Christensen Arms backs the Traverse with their Sub-MOA Guarantee — if it doesn't shoot, they'll fix it. Black stock with gray webbing rounds out a rifle that looks as capable as it performs.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the Traverse different from other .375 H&H rifles?
The Traverse combines a carbon fiber wrapped barrel and carbon fiber composite stock to keep a full-power magnum rifle under 7.3 pounds — substantial weight savings without sacrificing accuracy or reliability. The hand-lapped, button-rifled barrel, TriggerTech trigger, and dual ejector system are engineered for consistency and smooth operation in the field.
Is the brake removable, and will the rifle shoot well without it?
Yes, the stainless steel side-baffle brake is removable. The barrel is designed to function as a complete system, but the brake can be taken off if you prefer a quieter setup for hunting situations where the extra recoil management isn't critical.
What's the internal magazine capacity, and can I top-load rounds?
The internal magazine holds 4 rounds in standard calibers or 3 rounds in .375 H&H Magnum. The hinged floor plate allows you to unload quickly, and you can top-load rounds as needed.
Will this rifle shoot sub-MOA groups?
Christensen Arms backs the Traverse with their Sub-MOA Guarantee, which covers the rifle's performance. The hand-lapped, free-floating barrel, match chamber, and TriggerTech trigger are all designed to support consistent accuracy, but actual performance depends on ammunition, shooter skill, and conditions.
