The Christensen Arms Modern Precision 308 Win rifle is a purpose-built long-range and tactical platform that trades weight for precision without cutting corners on durability. Built on a modern aluminum billet chassis with a carbon fiber barrel and handguard, this 20-inch rifle delivers serious capability in a sub-7-pound package—meaning you'll actually carry it to where the shooting happens. The desert brown anodized finish pairs with Black Nitride metal work for a clean, functional aesthetic that backs up the performance underneath.

What sets the Modern Precision apart is how Christensen Arms integrated multiple precision features into a modular, user-friendly design. The folding stock with magnelock technology gets the rifle compact for transport, while the adjustable length of pull (12.5–14.5 inches) and adjustable carbon fiber cheek riser ensure you dial in your natural firing position. The match-grade flat trigger, 20 MOA optics rail, and V-block bedding give you the foundation for tack-driving accuracy. A threaded muzzle (5/8×24) lets you run a suppressor or muzzle brake of your choice; the included side-baffle brake is removable if you prefer a different solution.

The chassis is built smart: M-Lok slots on the 14- or 17-inch handguard, barricade steps, six quick-detach mounts, and a monopod Picatinny mount ready design mean you're not fighting the platform when you need to set up for precision shooting. Standard AR-pattern grips work here, and the AICS-compatible magazine well accepts common 308 detachable magazines. Everything wears a Black Nitride finish for durability, and Christensen Arms backs the rifle with their Sub-MOA Guarantee.

Whether you're building a long-range hunting rig, a precision competition rifle, or a lightweight backpack gun for demanding terrain, the Modern Precision does the work without the weight penalty most accuracy-first rifles impose.

Frequently Asked Questions

What scope mount system does the Modern Precision use?

The rifle ships with a 20 MOA Picatinny rail that's compatible with standard Rem 700-pattern optics bases and rings. The 20 MOA slope is built in to help with elevation adjustment at distance, so you can run a 30 mm tube and still get good elevation travel for long-range work.

Can I use a standard AR grip and magazines?

The Modern Precision accepts standard AR-pattern grips, so you can swap to whatever ergonomic preference you like. However, the magazine system uses AICS-compatible detachable magazines; it does not use standard AR-15 magazines. The rifle comes with a 5-round capacity magazine.

Is the muzzle brake removable, and can I run a suppressor instead?

Yes. The stainless steel side-baffle muzzle brake is removable. The barrel is threaded 5/8×24, which is the standard large-rifle suppressor thread pattern, so you can install a suppressor or any other muzzle device rated for that thread pitch.

What do I get in the box, and what's the total weight?

The rifle comes complete with the chassis, action, barrel, stock, brake, rails, and one 5-round AICS-compatible magazine. The rifle weighs 6.9 pounds as configured. Handguard length is available in 14-inch or 17-inch carbon fiber options.
