The Christensen Arms Modern Carbon Rifle (MCR) in .300 PRC is a purpose-built long-range hunting and precision shooting platform that combines cutting-edge carbon fiber engineering with proven Remington 700–style reliability. This 24-inch model strips away excess weight without sacrificing accuracy or durability—a serious advantage when you're glassing ridges or setting up for the next valley over. The MCR isn't a generic hunting rifle; it's designed for shooters who demand sub-MOA performance from a rifle light enough to carry all day.

At the heart of the Modern Carbon Rifle is a hand-lapped, button-rifled Christensen Arms aerograde carbon fiber barrel with a Match chamber, freefloated for consistency shot after shot. The barrel is threaded 5/8x24 and fitted with a premium side-baffle brake, ready to suppress or dress out as you prefer. The coated stainless steel action rides on an optic-ready 20-MOA Picatinny rail—perfect for pairing with a quality scope dialed for extended range. You get a TriggerTech trigger factory-set at 3.5 lbs with a 2.5–3.5 lbs adjustment range, giving you control without compromise.

The stock is where Christensen's FFT (Fiber Formed Technology) carbon fiber really earns its place. It's featherweight but rigid, with full-length M-LOK slots on the forearm for mounting accessories, front and rear QD points for sling versatility, and a push-button adjustable cheek riser so you can dial in your sight picture without tape and shims. Length of pull adjusts via spacers, and the hybrid grip angle keeps your hand naturally positioned whether you're prone at the bench or standing in the field. A skeletonized bolt handle and carbon fiber bolt knob shave grams without weakening anything that matters.

This is a rifle for hunters and long-range shooters serious about precision and pack weight—where every tenth of a pound counts and every shot has to land true.

Frequently Asked Questions

What optics mount on the Modern Carbon Rifle .300 PRC?

The MCR features a 20-MOA optic-ready Picatinny rail on the action, so any standard Picatinny-mount scope or sight will fit. The integrated 20-MOA inclination is built in to support long-range trajectory, making it a natural fit for quality optics in the 4–12x or higher magnification range.

Can I use a suppressor on this rifle?

Yes. The barrel is threaded 5/8x24 (standard large-caliber pitch) and suppressor-ready. It ships with a premium side-baffle brake, which you can swap for a suppressor-specific mount or compatible suppressor of your choice.

Is the trigger adjustable?

Yes. The TriggerTech trigger comes factory-set at 3.5 lbs and can be adjusted between 2.5 and 3.5 lbs to suit your preference for hunting or precision shooting.

What comes with the MCR and what do I need to add?

The Modern Carbon Rifle comes ready to mount an optic (rail is installed). You will need to add a scope or red dot sight, ammunition, and any sling or accessories for your use case. The rifle includes the premium muzzle brake; suppressor use is optional.
