The Christensen Arms Mesa Long Range in .338 Lapua Magnum is a purpose-built precision rifle for hunters and shooters who demand performance at extended distances. Built on a proven platform that combines modern engineering with proven accuracy, this bolt-action rifle delivers the reliability and repeatability serious long-range hunters expect. The Mesa Long Range starts at 8.9 pounds, balancing the heft needed for .338 Lapua recoil management with enough control to handle field situations.
The barrel is 416R stainless steel with a medium palma contour, hand-lapped for consistency and button-rifled for precision. A seamless side-baffle muzzle brake (removable) manages the considerable recoil signature of the .338 Lapua round, while the 5/8×24 threaded muzzle accepts standard suppressors and other muzzle devices. The match-chambered, free-floating barrel is the foundation of the sub-MOA accuracy promise backing every Mesa Long Range rifle.
The action is skeletonized to save weight without compromising strength, featuring a dual-lug spiral-fluted bolt treated with nitride for durability. Trigger Tech provides the crisp, adjustable trigger pull long-range precision demands. The billet aluminum bottom metal with hinged floorplate and improved bolt release gives you fast, reliable feeding from the 4-round internal magazine (3 rounds for magnum calibers). The tungsten Cerakote finish on the action resists corrosion in harsh field conditions.
The carbon fiber composite stock in black with gray webbing is engineered for long-range work. Adjustable length-of-pull and comb height (via spacers) let you dial in proper fit and cheek weld for your optic and shooting style. Stainless steel pillars and spot bedding lock the action in place, while the recoil pad absorbs punishment. The rifle is compatible with STD Rem 700 optics bases, giving you proven mounting flexibility.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Christensen Arms Mesa Long Range compatible with standard Rem 700 scope bases?
Yes. The action is drilled and tapped for STD Rem 700 optics bases, so you can mount any modern scope base designed for that platform without additional gunsmithing.
Can the muzzle brake be removed?
Yes. The seamless side-baffle brake is removable, and the muzzle is threaded 5/8×24, so you can swap it for a suppressor, other brake, or run the rifle without a muzzle device if you prefer.
What is included with the rifle?
The description provided covers the rifle itself with all features listed. For information on what accessories, tools, or documentation ship with your specific purchase, contact Bosque Outdoors directly.
How many rounds does the magazine hold?
