The Christensen Arms Mesa Long Range is a precision rifle built for hunters and shooters who demand sub-MOA accuracy at extended distances. Chambered in .338 Lapua Mag with a 27-inch barrel, this rifle combines a purpose-built action, premium barrel, and adjustable composite stock into a platform that rewards good technique with consistent performance. At 8.9 pounds, it strikes a balance between fieldability and the mass needed for recoil management in a magnum caliber. The Mesa Long Range comes backed by Christensen Arms' Sub-MOA Guarantee—a real commitment that matters when you're investing in a long-range hunting rifle.

The foundation is a 416R stainless steel barrel with a medium Palma contour, hand-lapped and button-rifled for consistency, topped with a removable side-baffle muzzle brake (threaded 5/8-24). The action is built on a standard Rem 700 platform—meaning familiar ergonomics and broad optic base compatibility—but features Christensen's skeletonized bolt handle, enlarged ejection port, and Trigger Tech trigger. A twin lug spiral fluted bolt, treated with nitride, handles magnum pressures reliably. The carbon fiber composite stock uses spacers for length-of-pull and comb adjustment, stainless steel pillars for durability, and spot bedding to keep the action consistent.

Aesthetically, the action wears a burnt bronze Cerakote finish that blends function with a refined look. The stock is green with black and tan webbing—solid, non-reflective, and built for use. Magazine capacity is 4 rounds (3 for magnum). If you're serious about .338 Lapua Mag shooting—whether hunting elk at distance, running a precision rifle course, or pushing targets past 1,000 yards—this is a rifle engineered to perform.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this rifle compatible with standard AR-style optics mounts?

No. The Mesa Long Range uses a standard Rem 700 optics base, which accepts Picatinny rail systems designed for 700-platform rifles. You'll need a scope mount or rail built for that footprint.

Can I remove and replace the muzzle brake?

Yes. The side-baffle muzzle brake is threaded at 5/8-24 and removable, so you can swap it for a suppressor adapter or different brake if desired.

What does the Sub-MOA Guarantee mean?

Christensen Arms backs the Mesa Long Range to deliver sub-MOA accuracy—groups of one inch or smaller at 100 yards—provided the rifle is used as intended and properly maintained.

How many rounds does the magazine hold?

The internal magazine capacity is 4 rounds; in magnum calibers like .338 Lapua Mag, it holds 3 rounds.
