The Christensen Arms Mesa 6.5 Creedmoor bolt-action rifle is built for hunters who won't compromise on weight when the elevation and distance demand a serious shooter. At just 5.5 pounds, this featherweight backcountry rifle cuts down fatigue on long mountain approaches while delivering the accuracy and reliability you need when the moment counts. It's a no-nonsense tool for the kind of hunting where every pound matters and every shot has to count.

Built on a Rem 700–compatible action, the Mesa pairs a 416R stainless steel barrel with Christensen Arms' ultralight featherweight contour and a seamless removable radial muzzle brake. The barrel is hand-lapped and button-rifled for consistency, then treated with a choice of Tungsten or Burnt Bronze Cerakote finish to stand up to hard use. The 20-inch barrel length balances velocity and maneuverability—critical when you're glassing and moving through tight country. A TriggerTech trigger gives you the control and responsiveness serious hunters demand.

The action wears a skeletonized bolt handle and billet aluminum bottom metal with a hinged floor plate, keeping weight down without sacrificing strength. The carbon fiber FFT stock is stiffness-optimized with stainless steel bedding pillars and spot bedding for accuracy, while the tungsten Cerakote action finish pairs with the black stock and gray accent to look as refined as it performs. The enlarged ejection port and improved bolt release smooth out the manual of arms even in adverse conditions.

Christensen Arms backs the Mesa with their Sub-MOA accuracy guarantee, and the 4-round internal magazine gets you ready for field conditions. The threaded muzzle (1/2"–28 or 5/8"×24, depending on configuration) accepts suppressors or other muzzle devices, giving you flexibility as your setup evolves. This is a rifle built for the hunter who understands that ultralight doesn't mean compromise.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Christensen Arms Mesa suitable for backcountry and mountain hunting?

Yes. At approximately 5.5 pounds, the Mesa is purpose-built for hunters who cover significant distance and elevation gain. The ultralight barrel contour and carbon fiber stock minimize pack weight without compromising accuracy or reliability, making it ideal for long backcountry pursuits where every ounce counts.

Can I shoot this rifle with a suppressor?

Yes. The Mesa comes with a threaded muzzle available in either 1/2"–28 or 5/8"×24 configurations, and the seamless removable radial brake can be replaced with a suppressor or other muzzle device to suit your setup.

What action compatibility does this rifle have, and what optics mounts will work?

The Mesa uses a Rem 700–compatible action, meaning it accepts standard Rem 700 optics bases and rings. This gives you access to a wide range of modern scope mounting options and aftermarket accessories.

What accuracy guarantee does Christensen Arms provide?

Every Mesa is backed by the Christensen Arms Sub-MOA guarantee, which ensures the rifle will group at one minute of angle or better when properly assembled and fired with appropriate ammunition.
