The Christensen Arms Mesa Long Range 6.5 Creedmoor is a precision bolt-action rifle engineered for shooters serious about hitting targets at distance. Built on a proven platform and chambered in one of the most capable long-range cartridges available, this rifle combines a stainless steel match-grade barrel with a lightweight carbon fiber composite stock to deliver the accuracy and handling you need for extended-range hunting or dedicated target work. At a starting weight of 8.9 pounds, it's built to be carried and shot all day without fatigue.

The barrel is the engine of any precision rifle, and Christensen Arms doesn't cut corners here. You get a 416R stainless steel tube with a medium palma contour, hand-lapped and button-rifled for consistency, then free-floated in the stock for uncompromised accuracy. The muzzle is threaded 5/8–24 and fitted with a seamless side-baffle brake that's removable if you prefer a quieter setup. The action is machined to Rem 700 specs, so it'll accept standard aftermarket components and optics bases—a practical choice if you ever want to customize further down the line.

Handling is refined without being fussy. The skeletonized bolt handle reduces weight and snags, while an enlarged ejection port and improved bolt release keep shooting smooth under pressure. A TriggerTech trigger breaks cleanly, and the billet aluminum bottom metal holds four rounds in a secure internal magazine. The carbon fiber stock features adjustable length of pull and comb height (via spacers), so you dial in your fit rather than adapt to the rifle. Stainless steel pillars and spot bedding keep things stable, and a recoil pad softens the blow of 6.5 Creedmoor's moderate kick. The action wears tungsten Cerakote and the stock is finished black with gray webbing.

Christensen Arms backs every Mesa Long Range with a Sub-MOA guarantee—a real promise of sub-minute-of-angle accuracy when properly maintained and fired from a rest. For a hunter or precision shooter looking for a modern, purpose-built long-range rifle, this is a legitimate contender.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Mesa Long Range suitable for long-range hunting?

Yes. The rifle is purpose-built for long-range precision work. The 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge, combined with the match-chambered barrel, free-floated design, and adjustable stock, makes it well-suited to hunting applications where distance and accuracy are critical. The removable muzzle brake also helps manage recoil, which is useful for precision shooting.

What optics bases does this rifle accept?

The action is machined to standard Rem 700 specifications, so it will accept any optics base designed for the Rem 700 pattern. This gives you flexibility in mounting your scope or other sighting systems.

Can I remove or replace the muzzle brake?

Yes. The muzzle brake is seamless and removable. The muzzle is threaded 5/8–24, so you can replace the brake with a suppressor adapter, a different muzzle device, or simply shoot without a brake if you prefer.

What does the Sub-MOA guarantee mean?

Christensen Arms guarantees that the Mesa Long Range will deliver sub-minute-of-angle (sub-MOA) accuracy—meaning shot groups will measure less than one inch at 100 yards—when the rifle is properly maintained and fired from a steady rest. This is a real warranty of precision performance.
