The Christensen Arms Evoke Hunter in 6.5 PRC is a purpose-built rifle for hunters who demand precision, reliability, and the ability to reach out on challenging shots. This mid-range magnum chambering has earned its reputation for consistent long-range performance and moderate recoil, making it an excellent choice for western big-game hunts and precision hunting applications. The Evoke platform combines Christensen Arms' proprietary stainless steel action with a match-chamber, hand-lapped 416R stainless barrel—genuine manufacturing care that translates to real-world accuracy you can trust in the field.

The 22-inch barrel strikes a practical balance for a hunting rifle: responsive in tighter terrain yet long enough to take advantage of the 6.5 PRC's ballistic efficiency. The barrel comes suppressor-ready with a 5/8×24 thread pitch and wears a premium RFR-style muzzle brake to manage recoil and keep your sight picture clean through the shot. The free-floating design and match chamber work in concert to deliver sub-MOA potential right out of the box—backed by Christensen Arms' sub-MOA guarantee, a promise the company stands behind with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Handling is straightforward and ergonomic: the proprietary action features a 60-degree bolt throw and 3-lug bolt for smooth, efficient cycling, while a TriggerTech adjustable trigger lets you tune break weight to your preference. The detachable magazine system keeps you flexible in the field, and the Hunter C camouflage synthetic stock features a hybrid grip angle, integrated Picatinny rail section, and swivel sling studs. An optic rail is pre-installed and set to 0 MOA, ready to accept your glass without additional setup. The adjustable cheek riser ensures you can dial in proper sight-line geometry for whatever scope you mount—a often-overlooked detail that separates rifles built for hunting from rifles merely sold as hunting rifles.

This is a rifle engineered for the hunter who values efficiency, proven engineering, and the confidence that comes from a platform trusted across the Rockies and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the 6.5 PRC best used for?

The 6.5 PRC is a modern, magnum-class cartridge engineered for hunting and long-range precision shooting. It delivers the ballistic efficiency and velocity to handle medium to large game at extended ranges, with moderate recoil compared to larger magnums. It's popular among western hunters tackling elk and mule deer, and with precision shooters who value a flat trajectory and wind-bucking capability.

Does the Evoke Hunter come with an optic or magazines?

The rifle ships with the action, barrel, stock, trigger, and muzzle brake assembled. Based on the specs provided, it includes detachable magazine capability and an optic rail pre-installed at 0 MOA. You'll need to source your own scope and magazine(s) to get it field-ready.

Can I mount a silencer on this rifle?

Yes. The barrel is suppressor-ready with a 5/8×24 thread pitch and includes an RFR-style muzzle brake. You can thread off the brake and install a suppressor. Always check local and state laws regarding suppressor ownership and use before purchasing.

What makes the Christensen Arms action different?

The Evoke uses a proprietary Christensen Arms stainless steel action with a 3-lug bolt and 60-degree bolt throw. The shorter throw makes cycling faster and smoother than many bolt actions, while the match chamber and hand-lapped barrel work together to support the rifle's sub-MOA guarantee. It's designed around precision, not just budget.
