The Browning T-Bolt Gray Laminated Target/Varmint in 22 WMR is a precision rimfire rifle built for shooters who refuse to compromise on accuracy. If you've been frustrated by the loose tolerances of typical .22 magnum rifles, this straight-pull bolt-action delivers the handling and feel of a serious target centerfire—just in a caliber that's gentler on the wallet and ears. The 22 WMR cartridge hits harder than standard .22 Long Rifle and carries energy far enough for varmint work and small-game hunting, making this a versatile choice for everything from prairie dogs to rabbits.

Built around a medium target-profile stainless barrel with a semi-match chamber and free-floating design, the T-Bolt is engineered for consistency shot after shot. The matte stainless finish resists weather while the recessed crown protects accuracy. A threaded 1/2-28 muzzle accepts suppressors (thread protector included), letting you shoot quietly without sacrificing velocity. The straight-pull action is smooth and fast—no twisting the bolt, just a straight stroke back and forward. That efficiency matters whether you're zeroing at the bench or culling varmints in the field.

The gray laminated wood stock wears a Monte Carlo cheekpiece and checkered grip surfaces for solid control and repeatable shooting position. An adjustable trigger lets you dial in break weight to your preference, and the top-tang safety is intuitive and fast. Scope mounting is straightforward: the receiver is already drilled and tapped, and sling swivel studs come installed. At 5 lbs 10 oz, it's light enough to carry all day but substantial enough to feel stable on the bench or in the field.

This isn't a rifle that pretends to be something it's not. It's a 22 WMR built without compromise, for shooters who understand that precision and efficiency apply to rimfire just as much as centerfire.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the 22 WMR good for?

The 22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire packs more energy than standard .22 LR and holds velocity better at distance, making it effective for varmint control (prairie dogs, coyotes, foxes at moderate range) and small-game hunting. It's also mild-recoiling and economical compared to centerfire, so it's a great choice for target and practice shooting.

Can I mount a suppressor on this rifle?

Yes. The barrel is threaded 1/2-28, which is the standard rimfire suppressor thread pitch. A thread protector is included, and you can swap it for any .22-compatible suppressor.

Does it come with a scope and mount?

The receiver is drilled and tapped for standard scope mounts, but no scope or rings are included. You'll need to supply your own optic and mounting hardware.

What makes the straight-pull action different?

Instead of rotating the bolt handle, you simply pull straight back and push straight forward. It's faster, more intuitive, and reduces shooter fatigue—especially useful when you're taking multiple shots during a varmint session or match.
