The Browning Maxus II Ultimate 12Ga 26" is a refined autoloading shotgun built for hunters and clay shooters who demand both performance and aesthetics in the field. This gas-operated semi-automatic combines the reliability Browning's original Maxus earned over years of hard use with a fresh, elegant design that deserves to be shown off. If you're looking for a shotgun that balances function and form—and won't leave you fighting recoil and swing—the Maxus II Ultimate delivers on both fronts.
At the heart of this autoloader is Browning's Power Drive Gas System, engineered to cycle reliably across the full spectrum of ammunition loads without requiring constant tweaking. That means you can shoot lighter target rounds one moment and buckshot the next without adjusting a thing. The system also manages recoil intelligently, letting you recover faster between shots—critical whether you're working doubles over water or calling for the next bird at the trap house. The Lightning Trigger, proven on the original Maxus, offers the fastest lock time of any autoloading shotgun in its class, giving you the speed advantage when it counts.
Ergonomic details matter on a gun you'll carry all day. The Maxus II Ultimate features an oversized bolt release and bolt handle that work smoothly even when you're wearing gloves, a ramped trigger guard that streamlines loading, and a shim-adjustable Grade III walnut stock with close-radius pistol grip so you can dial in length of pull, cast, and drop to fit your frame. The nickel-plated receiver with satin finish and scroll engraving catches light without glare, while a jeweled bolt adds a touch of refinement. Chrome-lined chamber and bore resist corrosion in wet conditions. Three Invector-Plus choke tubes give you the flexibility to adjust patterns for the situation, and the fiber-optic front sight with ivory mid-bead picks up light quickly for fast target acquisition.
This is a shotgun that works as hard as you do—and looks good doing it. Browning includes an ABS hard case for safe transport and storage.
