The Browning Maxus II is a gas-operated autoloading shotgun built for serious waterfowl and upland hunters who demand reliability, comfort, and proven performance in the field. This 12-gauge 3-1/2" chambered model pairs a 26" barrel with a modern composite stock finished in Vintage Tan camouflage, complemented by a Cerakote Burnt Bronze receiver and barrel for a cohesive, rugged aesthetic. The gas-operated system cycles cleanly across a range of loads, while thoughtful ergonomic touches—oversized bolt release and handle, ramped trigger guard, and a SoftFlex cheek pad—make the gun easier and more pleasant to shoot all day.

Browning designed the Maxus II with hunters in mind, not just shooters. The new composite stock is both trimmable and shim-adjustable for cast and length of pull, so you can dial in your fit rather than compromise. Rubber overmolding on the stock and forearm locks your grip in wet or cold conditions where control matters most. The nickel Teflon coating on the bolt, bolt slide, shell carrier, bolt release, and bolt handle resists corrosion and adds slickness for smooth cycling—especially valuable if you run this gun in saltwater or harsh environments. Chrome-lined chamber and bore add durability where it counts.

You'll appreciate the practical additions, too: a new screw-on magazine cap, lightweight magazine tube, and a fiber-optic front sight with ivory mid-bead help you stay on target when it's dim or chaotic. The gun ships with three extended Invector-Plus Goose Band choke tubes (Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder) so you're ready to adapt to different ranges and conditions right out of the box, plus a protective ABS hard case for transport and storage.
