The Browning Maxus II is a modern autoloading shotgun built for hunters and clay shooters who demand reliability, comfort, and clean aesthetics in the field or at the range. This 12-gauge model features a 28-inch barrel and comes ready to shoot with three Invector-Plus choke tubes—Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder—so you can match your shot pattern to upland game, waterfowl, or target presentations right out of the box.

What sets the Maxus II apart is its attention to ergonomics and durability. The satin-finished Turkish walnut stock wears a close-radius pistol grip that's shim-adjustable for length of pull, cast, and drop—meaning you can dial in the fit to your frame and shooting style without gunsmithing. The matte black anodized receiver keeps glare down and pairs beautifully with the wood. You'll notice the oversized bolt release and bolt handle make cycling smoother, especially when wearing gloves, and the ramped trigger guard speeds up reloading during fast shooting sequences. A fiber-optic front sight and ivory mid-bead help you track your target in low light.

Under the hood, Browning engineered this gun for longevity. The bolt, bolt slide, shell carrier, and release are coated in Nickel Teflon for corrosion resistance and smooth operation, while the chrome chamber and bore resist the elements and repeated firing cycles. The lightweight magazine tube keeps overall weight reasonable without sacrificing balance or swing. Every Maxus II comes with a hard case for safe transport and storage.

This is a gun that earns its keep on ducks, geese, upland birds, and clay targets—no excuses, no fuss.
