The Browning Cynergy CX 20-gauge shotgun is a versatile over-under built to handle both field hunting and clay target shooting without compromise. At 30 inches, this 20-gauge delivers the handling qualities that make it a go-to choice for upland hunters and competitive shooters who refuse to sacrifice performance for lighter recoil. The Cynergy CX's 60/40 point of impact strikes that practical balance—slightly high at the pattern plate, giving you the sight picture you want whether you're swinging on roosters or breaking targets on the range.

Built on a low-profile steel receiver finished with silver nitride for durability, the Cynergy CX feels refined without the weight penalty of heavier models. The Grade I walnut stock wears a satin finish that resists the shiny tackiness of high-gloss wood, while the barrels are satin blued and fitted with ventilated top and side ribs—traditional design that works. Three Invector-Plus Midas Grade choke tubes ship with the gun, letting you tailor your pattern to the shot at hand, and the Inflex Recoil Pad takes some bite out of your shoulder without feeling like plastic. Ivory front and mid-bead sights give you the sight plane you expect, and a three-position trigger with interchangeable trigger shoe lets you dial in the pull weight that suits your style.

This is a 20-gauge that doesn't apologize for being a 20-gauge—it carries like a smaller gun, patterns like a full-sized one, and won't punish you at the end of a long day in the field or behind a shooting station.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Browning Cynergy CX 20-gauge good for hunting and clay shooting?

Yes. The 60/40 point of impact and balanced profile make it equally at home hunting upland game or running targets at a clay course. It's designed specifically to perform well in both roles without requiring sight adjustments or extensive gun handling changes.

What choke tubes are included with this shotgun?

Three Invector-Plus Midas Grade choke tubes ship with the gun, allowing you to adjust your pattern for different hunting and shooting scenarios.

Can I adjust the trigger weight?

The Cynergy CX features a three-position trigger with an interchangeable trigger shoe, letting you customize the pull to your preference.

Why choose a 20-gauge over a 12-gauge?

The 20-gauge Cynergy CX delivers lighter recoil and easier carrying in the field while maintaining pattern performance through its quality barrel and choke system. It's an excellent choice for upland hunting or shooters who prefer reduced recoil without sacrificing ballistic capability.
