The Browning Citori Hunter Grade I .410 gauge is a refined break-action over-under shotgun built for hunters who appreciate timeless handling and proven reliability in a smaller gauge. Chambered in .410 with a 28-inch barrel, this Citori delivers the balance and pointability that makes it ideal for upland game, clay shooting, and situations where lighter recoil and ammunition costs matter. The 50/50 point of impact is a practical design choice for hunting scenarios where you need the gun to shoot where you're looking without constant mental adjustment.
The Grade I American walnut furniture strikes a clean, professional aesthetic without excessive ornamentation. Gloss metalwork with gold receiver enhancements catch light without being flashy, and the satin-finished wood stock feels purposeful in your hands. The Inflex recoil pad absorbs what little kick a .410 produces, making it comfortable for extended shooting sessions or introducing newer shooters to the over-under platform. A silver bead front sight keeps your eye on target during the swing.
Browning includes three flush-mounted choke tubes—Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder—so you can tailor pellet spread to your specific hunting conditions and distances. The break-action design means straightforward cleaning, reliable ejection, and the confidence that comes with a mechanically simple firearm. Whether you're working upland cover, pattern-testing at the range, or passing the gun to a younger hunter, the Citori Hunter Grade I handles the task without fuss.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a .410 gauge shotgun used for?
The .410 is a popular choice for upland game hunting, clay target sports, and situations where lighter recoil and lower ammunition cost are advantages. Many shooters also use it for introducing less experienced hunters to the over-under platform. It delivers effective patterns at moderate distances with reduced felt recoil compared to larger gauges.
What choke tubes come with the Citori Hunter Grade I?
The shotgun includes three flush-mounted choke tubes: Full (F), Modified (M), and Improved Cylinder (IC). These allow you to quickly adjust your shot pattern to match different hunting conditions and distances.
Is the Citori Hunter suitable for clay shooting?
Yes. The over-under design, 50/50 point of impact, and included choke tube options make this shotgun capable on clays. The 28-inch barrels and reliable swing characteristics appeal to clay shooters who value smooth handling and a classic profile.
What does Grade I American walnut mean?
Grade I American walnut refers to the quality and appearance of the wood used in the stock. The satin finish on the Citori Hunter provides a professional, understated appearance that is resistant to moisture and handling wear without requiring constant refinishing.
