The Browning Citori 20-gauge over-under shotgun in the Gran Lightning Grade V/VI represents the refined end of a classic design trusted by hunters and competitive shooters for generations. This 26-inch barrel model combines traditional elegance with practical handling, making it equally at home in the upland field or at the clay course. The Grade V/VI walnut stock features an oil finish that deepens character with use, while the high-polish blued barrels and intricately engraved receiver—accented with gold—signal this as a gun built for those who appreciate both craftsmanship and performance.
Browning engineered the Citori around user comfort and reliability. The Lightning-style stock geometry, with its 14¼-inch length of pull, fits most shooters naturally. The Inflex recoil pad absorbs punishment without the dead feeling of older designs, so you stay on target through a long day. The 3-inch chamber handles both 2¾-inch field loads and 3-inch magnums, giving you flexibility in the field or at the range. Ivory front and mid-bead sights track smoothly across the ¼-inch rib, helping you find the bird or clay quickly.
The three included Midas Grade Invector-Plus extended choke tubes—Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder—let you dial in the right constriction for your hunting or shooting situation. Black bands at the muzzle keep the tubes secure and add visual balance to the sleek profile. At 6 pounds 13 ounces with an overall length of 43 inches, the Citori 20-gauge handles with authority without excess heft, a real advantage in thick cover or during a long competitive round.
This is the gun you buy because you plan to use it for a lifetime—and then pass it on.

Frequently Asked Questions
What choke tubes come with this Citori, and are they interchangeable?
The gun ships with three Midas Grade Invector-Plus extended choke tubes: Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder. These tubes are designed for the Invector-Plus system and let you match constriction to your shooting situation, whether hunting upland birds, ducks, or shooting clay targets.
What's the difference between the 20-gauge Citori and larger gauges?
The 20-gauge delivers less recoil and lighter weight than a 12-gauge while maintaining effective hunting range and clay-breaking performance. It's ideal if you want a gun you can carry comfortably all day or shoot competitively without fatigue. The 3-inch chamber gives you flexibility to use standard 2¾-inch field loads or step up to 3-inch magnum loads when you need more pattern density.
Is the Citori good for both hunting and clay sports?
Yes. The Citori's balanced handling, quick-pointing stock geometry, and included choke tubes make it effective in the field for upland game and waterfowl and equally capable at the trap, skeet, or sporting clays range. Many shooters own just one Citori and use it for both disciplines.
What does Grade V/VI walnut and oil finish mean?
Grade V/VI walnut is premium-select wood with deep grain figure and consistent color—among the finest stocks Browning offers. The oil finish is a hand-rubbed treatment that enhances the natural grain and deepens with age and use, developing character over time. It requires occasional maintenance but rewards you with a more beautiful and tactile gun than modern polyurethane finishes.
