The Browning Buck Mark Hunter 5.9 is a .22 LR semi-automatic pistol built for shooters who want serious accuracy in a lightweight, manageable package. This is a range gun and competition shooter's favorite—chambered in reliable, affordable rimfire and engineered with the precision that's made Buck Mark a name you can trust. The 5.9-inch matte blued bull barrel delivers the sight radius and stability that matter when you're dialing in groups at distance, whether you're running drills at the range or testing your marksmanship in rimfire competition.

Right out of the box, you get a setup that works. The included Vortex Crossfire red dot sight pairs with a co-witness fiber-optic front sight and windage-adjustable rear iron sight—meaning your red dot and iron sights track together. If the dot fails or the battery dies, your irons are already zeroed and ready to go. That's practical redundancy. The muzzle is threaded 1/2-28 for suppressors, and a muzzle brake is included. Cocobolo-laminated target grips fill your hand with enough control to settle your groups, and the pistol comes with a pistol rug for transport and storage.

Browning machines the frame from alloy billet in the USA—no corners cut on build quality. This is a .22, so recoil is minimal and ammo costs are friendly, making this an ideal platform for developing solid fundamentals, practicing trigger control, or just putting rounds downrange without fatigue. If you shoot suppressed rimfire, hunt with a .22, or want to sharpen your accuracy skills, the Buck Mark Hunter delivers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this Buck Mark .22 suppressor-ready?

Yes. The 5.9-inch barrel is threaded 1/2-28 for 22 suppressors, and a muzzle brake is included in the box. You can run it suppressed or swap the brake back on anytime.

Does the red dot sight come installed and ready to use?

The Vortex Crossfire red dot is included and mounts low on the gun so the iron sights co-witness through it. You'll want to zero it before shooting, but the system is designed so you can use the iron sights if needed without re-zeroing the scope.

What's the magazine capacity?

The Buck Mark Hunter ships with a 10-round magazine.

Is this gun suitable for hunting, or is it a range gun?

At .22 LR, this is a great platform for small game hunting, target work, and competition shooting. The accuracy and sight setup support all three. Check your local hunting regulations to confirm caliber and species legality in your area.
