The Browning Buck Mark Contour URX is a 22 LR semi-auto pistol built for shooters who want a genuine, no-compromise rimfire handgun—not a toy. If you're training for precision, building marksmanship fundamentals, or just spending an afternoon at the range without breaking the bank, this is the real deal. The Contour URX delivers the feel and performance of a serious handgun in an affordable caliber, and it's CA compliant, so California shooters can own one without compromise.
The 5.5-inch barrel and 9.5-inch overall length strike a balance between sight radius and shootability. You're getting steel construction where it matters—not pot metal—with polished flats that give it a classic look. The semi-auto blowback action cycles cleanly and reliably through standard 22 LR ammunition. At 36 ounces, it's substantial enough to feel like a proper pistol and manage recoil (or in this case, the gentle nudge of 22 LR), but light enough to carry and handle for extended shooting sessions.
The Pro-Target front and rear sights are designed for actual accuracy work. Textured grips keep your hand planted even during longer range sessions. The 10-round magazine capacity works within CA regulations while still giving you reasonable trigger time between reloads. Whether you're a new shooter learning the fundamentals, a seasoned competitor looking for a dedicated 22 trainer, or someone who just loves shooting rimfire, the Buck Mark Contour URX does exactly what it's supposed to do—put rounds where you aim, every time.

What is 22 LR good for?
22 LR is ideal for training, practice, and recreational shooting. It's low-recoil, affordable, and accurate enough for precision work. Many shooters use 22 pistols to develop fundamentals before moving to centerfire handguns, or they shoot them simply for the enjoyment of accurate rimfire marksmanship.
Can I swap grips or customize the sights on the Buck Mark Contour URX?
We don't have detailed information on aftermarket compatibility for this model. Contact us or reach out to Browning directly for details on grip and sight options.
What kind of 22 LR ammunition works in this pistol?
The Buck Mark fires standard 22 LR ammunition. We recommend shooting it with quality, reliable brands to ensure consistent function and accuracy. Avoid .22 Short or .22 Magnum—this pistol is chambered for 22 LR only.
