The Browning A5 Sweet 16 Wicked Wing Auric is a 16-gauge autoloader built for serious waterfowl hunters who want a fast, reliable gun that won't quit in harsh conditions. The 28-inch barrel pairs a hard-hitting 16-gauge platform with the nimble handling that made the Sweet 16 legendary—and this Wicked Wing variant layers in corrosion-fighting durability and tactical finishes that hold up to salt spray, mud, and freezing marshes. If you've chased ducks and geese on the same water for years and want a shotgun that gets it done without the weight penalty of a 12-gauge, this is your gun.
What sets the A5 Sweet 16 Wicked Wing apart is how Browning married reliability with real protection. The bore is fully chrome-plated to shrug off the corrosion that kills shotguns in waterfowl country, while Cerakote Burnt Bronze finish coats the receiver and barrel for a finish that tolerates the elements—and looks tactical doing it. The composite stock wears the same AURIC Concealment finish, with textured grip surfaces that hang on even when your hands are cold and wet. Shim-adjustable length of pull (spacers included: 1/4 and 1/2 inch) lets you dial fit without gunsmith work.
Out of the box, you get three extended Invector-DS Goose Band choke tubes (Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder), so you're set for anything from tight pattern work to close-range chaos. The oversized bolt release won't frustrate you when you're wearing gloves. Fiber-optic front sight and ivory mid-bead make target pickup fast in low light—exactly what you need when geese are working.

Frequently Asked Questions
What choke tubes come with the Browning A5 Sweet 16 Wicked Wing Auric?
Three extended Invector-DS Goose Band choke tubes are included: Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder. These give you flexibility to tighten your pattern for distance or open up for closer work.
Can I adjust the length of pull on this shotgun?
Yes. The stock is shim-adjustable, and Browning includes 1/4-inch and 1/2-inch spacers so you can dial in your fit without a gunsmith.
Is this shotgun suitable for waterfowl hunting?
Absolutely. The fully chrome-plated bore is designed to resist corrosion from saltwater and harsh marsh conditions, and the Wicked Wing variant is purpose-built for waterfowl duty with the Burnt Bronze Cerakote finishes and Goose Band choke tubes.
What's the advantage of the 16-gauge over a 12-gauge for duck and goose hunting?
The 16-gauge delivers effective shot energy in a lighter, faster-handling package than a 12-gauge, reducing recoil fatigue during a long day in the blind while still being plenty capable for waterfowl.
