The Bond Arms Rawhide .357 Mag derringer is a compact, single-action handgun built for shooters who value rugged reliability and no-nonsense design. This 2.5-inch barreled derringer chambers both .357 Magnum and .38 Special, giving you flexibility with ammunition while keeping overall length to just 4.5 inches—ideal for deep concealment, backup carry, or throw-in-the-truck protection. At 19 ounces, it's hefty enough to manage recoil but light enough to carry all day without complaint.

The Rawhide belongs to Bond Arms' Rough Series and doesn't apologize for what it is: a purposeful, no-frills defensive tool. The open frame design—no trigger guard—reflects cowboy-style ergonomics and lets you get a solid firing grip quickly. Its stainless steel construction, rebounding hammer, and automatic spent casing extractor are the same quality features you'll find in Bond Arms' pricier offerings, but without the premium finish markup. The spring-loaded cammed locking lever and cross-bolt safety keep things secure, while retracting firing pins add an extra layer of protection. Best of all, the Rawhide is compatible with all standard Bond Arms barrels, so if your needs change down the road, you can swap calibers or barrel lengths.

This derringer isn't for everyone—it's a specialized tool for experienced shooters who understand its limitations. Two rounds means shot placement matters, and the short sight radius demands practice. But if you're looking for a tough, compact, American-made .357 Mag handgun that won't let you down, the Rawhide delivers honest engineering and proven Bond Arms quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

What calibers does the Bond Arms Rawhide derringer fire?

The Rawhide is chambered in .357 Magnum and .38 Special. You can fire either caliber through the same barrel—just load what you need for your situation.

Can I swap barrels on the Rawhide?

Yes. The Rawhide is compatible with all standard Bond Arms interchangeable barrels, so if you want to change calibers or barrel length later, you can upgrade without buying a whole new gun.

Is the Rawhide a good backup or concealed carry gun?

The Rawhide's compact size—4.5 inches overall and 19 ounces—makes it suitable for deep concealment and backup roles. However, as a two-round derringer, it demands honest assessment of your skill and training. It's a specialist tool, not a primary carry gun for most shooters.

Does the Rawhide come with sights I can adjust?

The Rawhide has fixed sights, meaning they're not adjustable. They're designed for quick target acquisition at close range, which is typical for derringer-style handguns.
