The Bergara B-14 HMR Wilderness 7mm Rem Mag is a serious long-range hunting rifle engineered to perform when conditions turn ugly and the terrain gets tough. This 24" 5R-barreled rifle sits squarely between Bergara's mid-range and premier offerings, built for hunters who refuse to compromise on accuracy or durability in remote country. The hand-painted Wilderness camouflage stock breaks up your outline while the Sniper Grey Cerakote finish on the barrel and action shields you from rain, snow, and salt spray—real protection for real backcountry use.
Build quality starts with Bergara's two-lug B-14 action, known for smooth, reliable feeding and extraction thanks to the sliding plate extractor and coned bolt nose and breech. The integrated mini-chassis bedded into the stock delivers repeatable accuracy without the hassle of glass bedding, and the Bergara Performance Trigger breaks clean and predictable. Your magazine of choice is the 5-round AICS-compatible detachable box, giving you flexibility to reload on the fly or swap loads mid-hunt. Recoil management comes from a seamless omnidirectional multi-ported muzzle brake threaded at 5/8-24; it's designed to knock down felt recoil by up to 35 percent, keeping you on target through strings of fire or follow-up shots when it counts.
Versatility is built in: the rifle accepts Remington 700-style rings and bases (6-48 screws), ships with integrated QD flush cups for sling attachment, and includes an adjustable cheek piece and length-of-pull spacers so you can dial in your personal fit. At 9.5 to 9.9 lbs and 40" to 47.5" overall length (depending on configuration), it balances pack-ability with the stiffness needed for precision shooting. This is a rifle that earns its place in your backcountry arsenal through honest engineering and no-fuss dependability.
