The Auto Ordnance Thompson 1927A Deluxe is a semi-auto .45 ACP carbine that brings the legendary Thompson submachine gun into the modern sporting rifle world. Built on a heritage stretching back nearly a century, this T1 model pairs authentic period styling—including the iconic finned barrel compensator—with the practical features shooters actually want: genuine American walnut furniture, a solid steel or aluminum receiver option depending on your weight preference, and reliable semi-automatic .45 ACP performance. Whether you're a collector drawn to this American icon or a shooter who appreciates its historical significance and shootability, the 1927A Deluxe delivers character and function in a 41-inch, 13-pound package.

The frame and receiver are machined from quality steel or aluminum, ensuring durability and authentic feel. The fixed walnut grip and stock give you a traditional Thompson handling experience, while the 16.5-inch finned barrel with compensator provide the distinctive look that makes this rifle instantly recognizable. Simple blade sights with adjustability give you the tools you need to get on target. A 20-round capacity in .45 ACP means you'll spend more time shooting and less time reloading—useful whether you're working through range drills or enjoying extended plinking sessions.

This is the configuration Auto Ordnance built to be their most popular for good reason. It strikes a genuine balance between nostalgia and usability, making it a natural choice for enthusiasts who want a piece of firearms history that actually runs. The 1927A Deluxe works as a specialty rifle for collectors, a conversation starter at the range, and a surprisingly practical platform for .45 ACP shooters who want something different.
