The ATI Mil-Sport 5.56 AR Pistol is a compact, modern firearm built on the AR platform in 5.56 NATO. With its 7" barrel and streamlined profile, this black-finished pistol delivers the ergonomics and modularity shooters expect from an AR in a package sized for close-quarters work, truck storage, or backup duty. The Mil-Sport brings serious AR capability to a pistol frame—ideal for shooters who want familiarity and parts compatibility without the length of a rifle.
The 7" M-LOK forend gives you mounting flexibility for lights, lasers, and grips without unnecessary rail real estate. That aluminum parts kit keeps the gun trim and reliable while staying lightweight. The 30-round magazine capacity means you've got the firepower of a standard AR mag in a gun that handles like a large-frame pistol. Whether you're building a truck gun, a home-defense backup, or simply exploring what a short-barreled 5.56 platform can do, the Mil-Sport won't leave you fumbling with unfamiliar controls.
American Tactical Imports has earned a reputation for delivering honest, no-nonsense firearms at realistic street prices. This pistol carries that same philosophy—solid performance, AR-standard controls, and the customization ecosystem of the world's most popular rifle platform, compressed into a package that fits your needs when a full-size rifle doesn't.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes an AR pistol different from a rifle?
An AR pistol uses the same receiver and controls as a rifle but features a shorter barrel (under 16") and no stock, making it legally classified as a pistol. The Mil-Sport's 7" barrel gives it a much shorter profile while maintaining 5.56 power in a gun that's easier to handle in tight spaces.
Can I use standard AR-15 magazines with the ATI Mil-Sport?
Yes. The Mil-Sport feeds from standard 5.56 NATO magazines, including 30-round mags. Any AR-pattern magazine will work with this platform.
What's M-LOK and why does it matter on a 7" pistol?
M-LOK is a lightweight mounting standard that lets you attach lights, lasers, grips, and other accessories to your forend without needing full rails. On a compact 7" pistol, it keeps weight and clutter to a minimum while preserving your ability to configure the gun for your needs.
Is this gun good for home defense or truck storage?
The Mil-Sport's short length and AR ergonomics make it well-suited for those roles. Its 5.56 caliber and 30-round capacity give you firepower when you need it, and the compact size means it stores easily or transitions quickly in tight quarters. Always observe all federal and local laws regarding short-barreled firearms and storage.
