The Alexander Arms Tactical 6.5 Grendel AR-15 rifle in Flat Dark Earth (FDE) is a semi-automatic precision platform built for shooters who want effective mid-range performance without the recoil and cost of larger calibers. 6.5 Grendel was designed from the ground up for AR-15 pattern rifles—this isn't a compromise or a conversion. The Grendel delivers superior ballistics and downrange energy compared to .223 Remington, making it a serious choice for hunters, precision rifle competitors, and tactical shooters looking for a purpose-built alternative caliber.

This Alexander Arms Tactical model arrives as a complete, ready-to-shoot package. The 16-inch barrel is threaded 5/8-24 (RH) and wears an A2 flash hider, allowing easy suppressor or muzzle device upgrades. The 1:8 twist rate is optimized for the wide range of bullet weights available in 6.5 Grendel. You get a matched Alexander Arms hand guard (TCE branded), B5 stock for comfort and adjustability, and an Ergo grip that fits naturally in the hand. The Velocity 3-pound trigger breaks clean without creep—a significant upgrade from mil-spec. Ambi controls are standard: the Raptor ambidextrous charging handle works equally well whether you're right or left-handed. The FDE Cerakote finish is durable and aesthetically cohesive across the platform.

One 10-round magazine ships with the rifle. If you reload or hunt in states with magazine restrictions, this capacity makes sense; if you need higher-round options, aftermarket 6.5 Grendel magazines are readily available. As with any precision rifle, accuracy and longevity depend on ammunition choice and maintenance. The 6.5 Grendel ecosystem has matured significantly; factory match-grade ammo and reloading data are no longer hard to find.
