The one-piece aluminum construction is machined to mil-spec dimensions and engineered to eliminate unnecessary material—giving you a sleek, functional profile that doesn't compromise rigidity.

The Gen 2 upgrade brings three practical refinements: quick-disconnect sling attachment points at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions for flexible carry options; additional milling along the flat sides to improve grip ergonomics and visual appeal; and a revised profile on the continuous top picatinny rail for a cleaner aesthetic. The rail system supports M-LOK modularity, which gives you more mounting flexibility and cleaner cable routing than traditional picatinny alone. Inside diameter of 1.72" accommodates most muzzle devices and 1.5" suppressors, and the design plays well with low-profile gas blocks—a real advantage if you're running a tight upper end. Built-in anti-rotation tabs ensure the handguard stays put during installation.

One critical detail: this handguard is engineered for Aero Precision's enhanced ecosystem. If you're mounting it on an M4E1 Enhanced Upper Receiver, you're good to go with no additional hardware. If your upper is a standard threaded receiver, you'll need Aero's BAR Barrel Nut—the handguard uses the BAR interface and won't work with a standard nut. And this rail is AR-15/M4E1 specific; it does not fit the M5 or M5E1 .308 platform. Check your upper compatibility before ordering.
