The Aero Precision AR15 15" Enhanced M-LOK Handguard Gen 2 in FDE is a free-float rail system built for shooters who want a lightweight, modular platform without sacrificing rigidity. The M-LOK mounting system gives you far more placement options than traditional Picatinny rail, letting you position lights, grips, and other gear exactly where you need them—not where an old standard forces them.
The Gen 2 updates refine an already solid design: quick-disconnect sling attachment points at three positions (3, 6, and 9 o'clock), additional milling along the flats for a more confident grip, and a refined continuous top-rail profile that balances shootability with clean lines. The one-piece free-float construction means your barrel sits independently of the handguard, eliminating harmonics issues and supporting consistent accuracy whether you're running a precision build or a duty rifle. Built-in anti-rotation tabs keep everything locked in place, and scalloped rails reduce weight where it matters while preserving strength.
Before you order, note the compatibility details: if you're installing this on a standard threaded upper receiver, you'll need Aero Precision's BAR Barrel Nut (sold separately)—the handguard uses the BAR interface, not a standard nut. If your upper is Aero's M4E1 Enhanced Receiver, you're good to go with no additional hardware. The 1.72" inside diameter accommodates most muzzle devices and suppressors up to 1.5", and the low-profile design plays well with low-profile gas blocks. This handguard is engineered for the AR15/M4E1 platform only; it's not compatible with M5 or M5E1 .308 builds.
