The mounting position sits forward of the factory rear-sight dovetail, so your iron sights remain in place for co-witnessing. You get the proper mounting screws and a black anodized cover plate in the box, so you're ready to mount your optic right out of the gate. Zaffiri recommends blue Loctite for screw retention and stresses staying within the optic manufacturer's torque spec to protect your equipment.
