The Zastava ZPAP M70 AK-47 rifle in 7.62x39mm is a modern sporting rifle built on the proven design that has served armed forces worldwide for decades. This semi-automatic variant brings genuine AK reliability to the civilian market—a no-nonsense platform that handles hard use, dirty conditions, and everything in between. Whether you're setting up a practical rifle for the range, building a dependable hunting gun, or adding a proven platform to your collection, the ZPAP M70 delivers the straightforward functionality AK shooters have trusted for generations.

Zastava equipped this rifle with real upgrades for the American shooter. The two-piece handguard combines rubber-covered fiberglass for genuine comfort during extended shooting sessions, and its modular design accepts three short Picatinny rail sections on the sides and bottom—giving you the flexibility to mount lights, lasers, or other accessories without permanent modifications. The lower handguard is also milled to accept the cleaning rod, so you can maintain the rifle in the field. The ergonomic pistol grip includes a hidden storage compartment with a weather-resistant cap, perfect for stashing batteries or spare parts.

The adjustable buttstock and seven-position cheek riser let you dial in the sight picture you need, whether running iron sights or mounting an optic. Four QD sling swivel inserts molded into the receiver extension and stock give you genuine ambidextrous sling mounting options. Built from carbon fiber and glass-reinforced polymer, the stock is tough enough to last and comes with a slip-on recoil pad. The rifle uses a double-stack bolt, a 1.5mm bulged trunnion receiver, and a cold hammer-forged chrome-lined barrel—metallurgy that translates to longevity and corrosion resistance. A 30-round detachable magazine ships with the rifle, and the safety selector includes a bolt hold-open notch for convenient chamber clearing.

At 7.9 lbs with adjustable sights and a 16.3-inch barrel, the ZPAP M70 balances control and portability. The 37-inch overall length collapses to 35 inches with the buttstock retracted, making it handy in vehicles or brush. This is a rifle built for actual use, not marketing—honest engineering in a package that just works.
