The Zastava Arms ZPAP92 7.62x39mm semi-automatic pistol is a modernized Krink-pattern platform built on proven AK design principles, engineered for shooters who want reliability and shootability in a compact package. This is a serious gun—not a range toy—with a cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel and stamped steel receiver featuring a bulged trunnion for strength where it counts. The 10-inch barrel is pinned and welded with a muzzle extension to meet legal length requirements, and the receiver is treated with hard nickel-molly surface for corrosion resistance. Whether you're running drills at your local range, setting up a truck gun, or building a firearm that handles like it means business, the ZPAP92 delivers the legendary durability AK users expect without the complexity of a full-rifle platform.
The ergonomics reflect real-world use: a bolt hold-open notch on the safety selector, Krink-style dual-aperture sights (rear post and front), and a quad rail for mounting optics and lights exactly where you want them. The Magpul CTR stock and pistol grip provide a more modern control interface than vintage mil-spec furniture, improving handling without sacrificing that characteristic AK feel. A 30-round magazine is included, and the gun naturally accepts standard 7.62x39 ammunition, making feeding and supply straightforward. At 6.6 lbs and 19.3 inches overall, the ZPAP92 is nimble enough to move through vehicles, buildings, or brush without being so light that recoil becomes punishing.
Zastava's reputation rests on getting the fundamentals right—and this pistol reflects that. The receiver is stamped (not cast), the barrel is hammer-forged, and the bolt carrier features the same hard-coat nickel-molly finish. No trickery, no gimmicks. Just a piston-driven platform with deep design heritage, modern furniture, and enough rail real estate for the optic and light setup you actually want to run.

Frequently Asked Questions
What magazines work with the ZPAP92?
The ZPAP92 accepts standard 7.62x39 AK-pattern magazines. The gun ships with a 30-round magazine.
Can I mount an optic or red dot on this pistol?
Yes. The quad rail gives you mount-point flexibility. The hinged top cover also means you have options for how you set up your sighting system. Work with your preferred optic and rail adapter to dial in what works for your use.
Is this gun suitable for hunting or just range shooting?
The ZPAP92 is versatile. At 10 inches barrel and firing 7.62x39, it's effective for hunting medium game within reasonable ranges if you're proficient with the platform. Many shooters also run it as a truck gun, training tool, or short-range patrol rifle. Your use case depends on skill, ammunition choice, and what you're hunting for.
What's the difference between a stamped and cast receiver, and why does it matter?
The ZPAP92 features a stamped steel receiver rather than a cast one. Stamped receivers are generally regarded as stronger and more durable in AK-pattern guns—it's a design choice Zastava has maintained across their lineup. The stamped construction here is paired with a bulged trunnion for added strength at the barrel junction.
