The Yankee Hill YHM-125 stripped AR-15 lower receiver is a precision-machined foundation for building a custom rifle. Whether you're assembling your first AR from the ground up or refreshing an existing build, this forged aluminum lower gives you a quality starting point without the unnecessary hassle of proprietary designs or compatibility headaches. Stripped lowers are where AR customization begins—you choose the trigger group, stock, grip, and fire control system to match your mission.
What sets the YHM-125 apart is the attention to manufacturing detail. Yankee Hill machines these lowers entirely in-house, using 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum forgings. That means tighter tolerances and consistency from one unit to the next. The oversized magazine well chamfers aren't just a nice touch—they make reloads smoother and faster, whether you're at a competition, on a hunting trip, or on the range. You'll notice the difference when you're running drills or switching between ammo types.
The YHM-125 accepts mil-spec uppers and works with all standard AR parts. If you're running PMAGs of any generation, they'll seat and feed reliably. The hardcoat anodized matte black finish meets or exceeds military specifications, so it's tough enough for hard use and looks the part without the gloss. A stripped lower is your blank canvas—pair it with the upper, handguard, trigger, and furniture that matches your build goals.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to complete this AR-15 lower receiver?
A stripped lower comes without the fire control group and stock assembly. You'll need to source a trigger, hammer, disconnector, selector, pistol grip, and either a stock or brace, depending on your build. Many builders pair a stripped lower with a complete upper receiver to get a functional rifle quickly, or customize both halves for a specific use case.
Will this lower work with my existing upper receiver and parts?
Yes. The YHM-125 accepts mil-spec uppers and works with all standard AR-15 components. If you're upgrading from another platform or swapping parts between builds, this lower integrates with proven, widely available parts.
Does this lower work with all magazine types?
The YHM-125 is designed to accept all generations of PMAGs. The oversized magazine well chamfers ensure reliable feeding and make reloads smoother across different magazine batches.
What makes this lower better than budget alternatives?
The YHM-125 is machined entirely in-house from forged 7075-T6 aluminum—that's aircraft-grade material and full control over quality. The hardcoat anodize finish is mil-spec or better, and the oversized magazine well is a small detail that pays dividends in real use. You're building on a solid foundation.
