The Yankee Hill Machine Sidewinder M2 .45 ACP suppressor is a lightweight, user-serviceable can built for shooters who want effective sound reduction without the weight or the premium price tag. This .578x28-threaded suppressor pairs proven materials—7075-T6 and 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, plus heat-treated 17-4PH stainless steel—with a redesigned booster system and Nielsen device that work seamlessly on semi-automatic .45 pistols. Whether you're running a Glock G21 or another .45 platform, the Sidewinder M2 delivers practical suppression and shooter control in a compact package.

What sets the Sidewinder M2 apart is its modularity and serviceability. The booster uses industry-standard piston dimensions—meaning you can use aftermarket pistons from SilencerCo, Dead Air, Rugged, and others—and swap them out by hand thanks to the redesigned rear cap. No special tools needed for piston changes. The front cap geometry also improves engagement with the takedown tool, making field and bench maintenance straightforward. With 12 indexing points, you can dial in your point of impact while the suppressor stays mounted, a genuine convenience feature for serious shooters dialing in loads or making sight adjustments.

Construction reflects YHM's no-nonsense approach: the mono-core baffle delivers high efficiency in a slim 1.375-inch diameter, and Class 3 hardcoat anodize protects all aluminum surfaces against corrosion and wear. The Nielsen piston assembly and blast baffle, machined from 17-4PH, handle sustained fire and temperature extremes without degradation. At 10.55 ounces and 9.3 inches long, the Sidewinder M2 is built to stay in the fight without becoming a liability. Testing to Mil-Std 1474D on a stock Glock G21 with 230-grain FMJ ammunition shows 133 dB dry—solid suppression that opens up further when run wet.

User-serviceable design means you own the maintenance: the baffle and Nielsen device come out for cleaning via the included disassembly tool, so you're not locked into a manufacturer's service schedule. For .45 ACP shooters who demand reliability, modularity, and real value, the Sidewinder M2 is a smart choice.
